Cellnex Joins the 2026 Apps for Good Showcase
The Apps for Good student Showcase is back for 2026! Each year, young innovators from across the UK demonstrate their tech skills by pitching their innovative app ideas to a panel of Industry Volunteers. It’s a celebration of creativity, problem-solving, and the future of technology for good.
We’re delighted to welcome telecommunications company Cellnex as a new category supporter this year. Their support will bring an exciting new dimension to our Showcase, introducing a brand-new category and giving students the unique opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of Cellnex representatives. Through this, Cellnex will provide insights into the telecoms sector, and real-world perspectives that can help shape student ideas and encourage confidence.
“Cellnex is honoured to support the 2026 Apps for Good Showcase to help inspire the next generation of digital innovators in one of the local communities where we operate. At Cellnex, we believe technology has the power to connect people and drive positive change. By partnering with Apps for Good, we’re pleased to share our experience with students, encouraging their creativity, and supporting them as they turn their bold ideas into real-world impact.”
Gianluca Landolina, Cellnex UK CEO
Support from organisations like Cellnex in our Showcase makes a real difference. The opportunity provides students with a safe, supportive space to share the tech innovation ideas they’ve developed during their Apps for Good course. It helps them grow in confidence by speaking to people beyond their school community, gives credibility to their ideas and offers thoughtful, constructive challenges to perspectives often chosen and shaped by students’ own lived experiences. For many of our students, this opportunity is unique and deeply inspiring.
Freya, a student from last year’s Showcase shares:
“It felt amazing to see all these Industry Volunteers looking at our idea and saying it was actually really good. They genuinely enjoyed learning about it, which made me feel proud - especially because everyone had been working on it for quite a while.”
There’s still time to get involved in Showcase 2026! Organisations can either help shortlist student entries (a virtual task taking about 10 minutes per entry) or support their very own category. If you’re interested or have questions, please get in touch at: volunteers@appsforgood.org
