What is your product and who is it for?

WeBlog is a mindfulness app which provides a safe space to express yourself by recording your feelings and is particularly aimed at those who are prone to depression or loneliness.

What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?

There is a rise in mental health issues, which we consider to be as important as physical health. We wanted to develop this project to make it easy for people to reach out when they have mental health issues.

How does your product solve the problem?

Our app includes a Chatbot, which tackles loneliness and people who need someone to talk to. The mental health tracker helps record people’s mental health and gives insightful tips on how to improve it. The journal helps people express their feelings, and the mindfulness videos help soothe people. The app is there to improve mental health and therefore improve quality of life.

How does it work?

The mental health tracker works by inputting an emoji on how you feel, it then gives you some feedback. The chabot works by messaging it and it responds to your message with kind, heartwarming messages. The journal is a safe space where you can write down your feelings and save them to go back to. The mindfulness section works by selecting a video, which then redirects you to a Canva web page containing the videos we created.
